“Bit to Better” brings the Movie hall experience ,to Mayalmu Shelter home ,Tadong, Sikkim.
“Bit to Better”is an initiative by like minded young individuals,based in Gangtok with a motive of goodness for the needy and the underprivileged.
Mayalmu is a shelter home at Tadong, Sikkim,currently sheltering 20 women from age group 30 and above. Most of the women have been rescued from disturbing situations of domestic violence,while some have been abandoned.
For their “Eighth Event” bit to better,projected the movie “Pahuna” in the big screen.The motive behind this, was to provide them with the luxury of a movie hall experience at their very own shelter,which they may have been deprived of in years.
The Event was followed by lunch preparation for the underprivileged by all the Bit to Better volunteers themselves ,other events included interaction with the people at the shelter home,they conducted different fun activities and donation of snacks and other goods aswell.
